The source says West was the contractor on MKUltra Subproject 43 (University of Oklahoma; hypnosis and dissociative states). The CIA file for Subproject 43 redacts the contractor's name; the identification is not yet confirmed from a fetched record.
The source says the Grand Orient of Italy expelled P2 (1976/1981). The Anselmi Commission report contradicts this: the 1976 suspension was requested by Gelli himself as cover, and in 1981 the Grand Orient drafted rules to readmit P2 members.
The popular story: a single CIA program, run by Frank Wisner from the late 1940s with Phil Graham as industry contact, that steered major US outlets (Wisner's 'Mighty Wurlitzer'). The name in this sense first appears in Deborah Davis, *Katharine the Great* (1979), without sources. The documented 'Project Mockingbird' is something narrower: a 1963 wiretap on two columnists. CIA–press relationships themselves are documented (Church Committee); the single named program is not.
On 1 Dec 2020 Attorney General William Barr told the AP: 'To date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have effected a different outcome in the election'. US attorneys and FBI agents had followed up specific complaints.
Josef Blumrich recorded Hopi informant White Bear Fredericks for *Kásskara und die sieben Welten* (1979). The book exists; the original tapes have not been located, and the account rests on a single informant as edited by Blumrich.
The claim that Manson's unrevoked parole reflects protection as an informant or asset. It rests on one Los Angeles official's opinion to O'Neill; no document.
Under a 2012 deferred prosecution agreement HSBC admitted at least $881M of cartel money moved through it and that it failed to monitor over $670B in wires from HSBC Mexico; it paid $1.92B; no individuals were charged.
Psychiatrist Louis Jolyon 'Jolly' West corresponded with Sidney Gottlieb (cover name 'Sherman Grifford') from 11 June 1953, two months after MKUltra began, proposing drug and hypnosis studies, and at the University of Oklahoma sought permission to take money from the Geschickter Fund, which the CIA later acknowledged was a Gottlieb cut-out. Whether he was the redacted contractor on MKUltra Subproject 43 is a separate, held record.
In 1967 West ran what he called a 'laboratory disguised as a hippie crash pad' in a house on Frederick Street in Haight-Ashbury, staffed by graduate students; it opened in June 1967.
Banker Kurt von Schröder (a partner at Cologne's J.H. Stein, not the London/New York J. Henry Schröder banks) hosted the 4 Jan 1933 Hitler–Papen meeting that led toward Hitler's chancellorship.
Per federal parole files obtained by Tom O'Neill, Manson (released Mar 1967) broke parole repeatedly without revocation; his San Francisco parole officer Roger Smith, with a caseload reduced to Manson, ran the Amphetamine Research Project at the Haight-Ashbury Free Medical Clinic.
Reich claimed a universal life energy, 'orgone', that his accumulators concentrated to treat disease (including cancer) and his cloudbusters used to change weather. No scientific confirmation; FDA testing found the accumulators ineffective.
Boris Giuliano, head of Palermo's Squadra Mobile, who had met Sindona's liquidator Giorgio Ambrosoli in Milan (Ambrosoli was murdered 11 Jul 1979), was shot dead by Leoluca Bagarella at the Bar Lux on 21 Jul 1979; Bagarella's life sentence became final in 1997.
Riggs Bank pleaded guilty in Jan 2005 to one felony count of failing to file suspicious-activity reports on accounts of Augusto Pinochet and Equatorial Guinea officials; $16M fine ($41M total penalties); absorbed by PNC (May 2005).
The claim that the cheques Giuliano found showed Sindona routing Mafia heroin proceeds through the IOR to Amincor Bank (Switzerland). Repeated in secondary sources; no primary or established-outlet source located.
Split-twig animal figurines dated ~4,200–3,100 BP were cached under capstones in a few of ~150 surveyed Grand Canyon caves; some are pierced by miniature spears. The makers' cultural attribution is still debated.
The 1909 Arizona Gazette described a Smithsonian-backed Grand Canyon cavern with Egyptian-style artifacts found by G.E. Kinkaid. No record of Kinkaid, 'Prof. Jordan' or the dig exists; the Smithsonian denies it; no cave has been located.
Union Banking Corporation, with Prescott Bush a director, fronted for Fritz Thyssen's interests and was seized under the Trading with the Enemy Act on 20 Oct 1942.
After Banco Ambrosiano's 1982 collapse (the IOR was its main shareholder; Calvi found hanged under Blackfriars Bridge), the IOR paid $224M in 1984 'in recognition of moral involvement', expressly not an admission of liability.
A 1h46m narrative history by PhD historian Sean Munger, closely tracking the Tower, congressional and Walsh records. The chain: Lebanon hostages (Dodge, 1982; Hezbollah/Islamic Jihad; the al-Dawa 17) → McFarlane's June 1985 opening via Kimche/Ghorbanifar → Israeli TOW shipments (Aug–Sep 1985; Weir freed) → the botched Hawk shipment via Lisbon (Nov 1985; a retroactive finding Reagan signed, later torn up by Poindexter) → the first $850K diversion → the Jan 17, 1986 finding ('I agreed to sell TOWs to Iran', Reagan diary) → the May 1986 Tehran mission → the April 4 'diversion memo' found Nov 22, 1986 → Hasenfus shootdown (Oct 5) and Ash-Shiraa (Nov 3) exposure → shredding by North and Fawn Hall; PROF backups survived. Munger's own view: Reagan likely didn't know of the diversion.
Jeremy Hultin (Union Theological Seminary, noncanonical Jewish and Christian texts) gives the scholarly baseline. Enoch 'walked with God… and was not' (Gen 5), one of two biblical figures who don't die normally, so multiple texts were pseudonymously attributed to him. 1 Enoch's Watchers (the 'vigilant ones'), led by chiefs who swear an oath on Mount Hermon, take human wives; their offspring the Giants devour the earth and provoke the Flood; the giants' spirits survive as evil spirits. Genesis 6:1–4 is a four-verse compressed version of the same tradition. 1 Enoch and Jubilees were found among the Dead Sea Scrolls (Qumran, pre-Christian); 1 Enoch is quoted in Jude (1:14–15 ≈ 1 Enoch 1:9) but is canonical only in the Ethiopian Orthodox church. Hultin also covers the solar vs. lunar calendar dispute and the Revelation visions.
US unauthorized-disclosure cases side by side. The sentence tracks the leaker's rank and whether the disclosure embarrassed the government more than the content endangered anyone. Senior officials (Petraeus, Cartwright) got probation or a pardon. Low- and mid-level leakers of material exposing government conduct (torture, drones, surveillance, Iran ops) got years. This is the downstream enforcement layer of the Suppression pattern, and the main reason UAP witnesses' lawyers doubt the 2026 NDA waiver.
Barr later said (Jan 6 committee; his memoir) that he told President Trump the stolen-election claims were 'bullshit'. Claims of outcome-changing fraud (voting machines, mail ballots, dead voters) were rejected in dozens of court cases and state audits and recounts. This note records the government-record position and the claim; it doesn't adjudicate individual irregularity reports.
A bank founded by Agha Hasan Abedi (1972; Luxembourg-registered, run from Karachi and London), with 400+ branches in 78 countries. It was deliberately structured to avoid consolidated supervision (split auditors, secrecy jurisdictions). It laundered for Noriega, Saddam, the Medellín Cartel and Abu Nidal ('Bank of Crooks and Criminals International'), and secretly controlled Washington's First American Bankshares, chaired by Clark Clifford. The CIA held accounts there (von Raab to the Kerry Committee), the NSC used it for Iran-Contra transfers, and the CIA admitted in 1991 it knew of the drug laundering. It unraveled via Customs' Operation C-Chase (Mazur, Tampa, 1986–88) and PwC's 'Sandstorm' report (Jun 1991), which found fraud making its history nearly impossible to reconstruct and noted MI5 had sources inside. Seven countries shut it on 5 Jul 1991; Morgenthau indicted it; Kerry–Brown report (1992); UK Bingham inquiry (1992). Losses $10–17B.
The night after a Japanese submarine shelled Ellwood near Santa Barbara (23 Feb 1942), LA air defenses fired ~1,400 anti-aircraft shells at reported targets. Five civilians died (accidents and heart attacks) and 'four Japanese aircraft' were falsely reported shot down. Navy Secretary Knox called it a 'false alarm'. The Coast Artillery Association (1949) blamed a weather balloon that 'started all the shooting'; the Office of Air Force History (1983) called it 'war nerves' plus balloon, flares and shell bursts. The famous LA Times photo of searchlights converging on a 'craft' was heavily retouched (white paint defining the searchlight convergence), which ufologists later read as a UFO.
The legend was built in print: a 1950 wire article (five incidents, 1945–50), a 1952 paranormal magazine drawing an arbitrary Florida–Bermuda–Puerto Rico triangle, and Argosy's 1964 'Lost in the Bermuda Triangle' with invented quotes. LEMMiNO's 2017 breakdown of the anchor cases: - Columbus's 'fireball' and compass anomalies happened mid-Atlantic, outside the triangle (a meteor; magnetic declination). - Flight 19 (5 Dec 1945): radio logs show Lt. Charles Taylor, used to the Florida Keys, thought he was over the Keys while over the Bahamas; he flew north and east until fuel ran out. - PBM Mariner BuNo 59225, sent to search: a ship saw a plane explode 23 minutes after it launched; PBMs were known for fuel-vapor fires. - The Star Tiger (1948) and Star Ariel (1949) remain unresolved; Tudor defects include a cabin heater fire risk. - The Carroll A. Deering (1921): mutiny evidence; the bottle message was a hoax by its finder. - Many 'triangle' losses occurred outside it. There's no uniform pattern, and loss rates track heavy traffic, storms and the Gulf Stream; the Coast Guard doesn't recognize it as a special zone.
Retired Marine Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler (two Medals of Honor; later *War Is a Racket*, 1935) testified in Nov 1934 to the McCormack–Dickstein special committee (the first House un-American activities committee). He said bond salesman Gerald C. MacGuire, working with financier Robert Sterling Clark, tried to recruit him to lead a veterans' army (500,000 men) to pressure or displace FDR, with backing tied to Wall Street and interests later visible in the American Liberty League. The committee's final report said the plot 'was discussed, was planned, and might have been placed in execution when and if the financial backers deemed it expedient'. Nobody was prosecuted, prominent names were deleted from the published testimony, and much of the press mocked it (a NYT editorial called it a 'gigantic hoax').
Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, fired from the roof of the American Glass Research building, wounding Trump, killing Corey Comperatore and wounding two others before a Secret Service counter-sniper killed him. Senate reports (HSGAC, Judiciary) and the DHS independent review panel (Oct 17, 2024) documented preventable failures: threat intelligence received 10 days earlier not relayed, denied resource requests, a counter-sniper team with an obstructed view, and Crooks reported as suspicious with a rangefinder ~25 minutes before. The FBI closed without an announced motive (Nov 2025).
COINTELPRO was the FBI's covert counterintelligence program under J. Edgar Hoover. It surveilled, infiltrated, discredited and disrupted domestic political groups: the Communist Party, civil-rights groups (Martin Luther King Jr., including the anonymous 1964 'suicide letter'), the Black Panthers, AIM, the Young Lords, the New Left and antiwar groups. It was exposed only when the Citizens' Commission to Investigate the FBI burgled the Media, PA field office on March 8, 1971 and mailed the files to the press. The Church Committee (1975–76) documented it. The burglars were never caught and identified themselves in 2014.
Charlie Kirk was killed by a single rifle shot at ~12:20 p.m. during an outdoor Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University. The shooter fired from a rooftop and fled. Tyler James Robinson was arrested after a 33-hour manhunt and charged with aggravated murder and related counts; prosecutors seek the death penalty. A judge bound the case over for trial (Sep 2026) and he pleaded not guilty. UVU's independent review (Sep 25, 2026) found no formal security assessment, no written event plan, and no line-of-sight assessment, faulting both UVU and TPUSA, with no evidence of bad faith. The FBI said a plane-transponder gap noted online was not the transponder being turned off but a rural coverage gap.
The CIA and West Germany's BND secretly bought the Swiss cipher-machine maker Crypto AG in 1970 (code name Thesaurus, later Rubicon). They rigged its machines, sold to 120+ governments, so they could read the traffic; a CIA history calls it 'the intelligence coup of the century.' The BND sold out in 1993; the CIA ran it until 2018. It was revealed on Feb 11, 2020 by the Washington Post, ZDF and SRF. The Swiss parliamentary oversight inquiry (Nov 2020) found Swiss intelligence knew of the covert ownership from 1993, benefited from it, and didn't inform the responsible minister.
Freelance writer Danny Casolaro was found dead in room 517 of the Martinsburg, WV Sheraton, wrists cut 10–12 times, while investigating alleged links between the Inslaw/PROMIS software theft, the October Surprise, BCCI and Iran-Contra. Two autopsies ruled suicide (a note, no forced entry, antidepressants and alcohol, 'nothing' incapacitating). His family says he'd warned his brother it wouldn't be an accident; threatening calls were logged by his housekeeper. An FBI task force had questioned the suicide conclusion and recommended more investigation, and **the FBI misled Congress** about investigating; the FBI has said files are 'missing' while its own documents show files withheld. A 2020s FOIA of Martinsburg PD files (Treitz/Hansen; Netflix, *American Conspiracy: The Octopus Murders*, 2024) found a witness statement and sketch of an unlisted visitor to room 517.
DIA is 53 sq mi (the largest US airport by area), opened in 1995 about 16 months late and ~$2B over budget ($4.8B total). It has attracted theories: a New World Order HQ (from the 'New World Airport Commission' on the dedication capstone); a swastika runway layout; underground bunkers, runways or tunnels to NORAD; apocalyptic Tanguma murals; 'Blucifer'; Masonic symbols; Au/Ag floor inscriptions. Each has a documented prosaic source; see the table. The real underground space includes the concourse train and the failed automated baggage system, abandoned in Aug 2005. The airport now markets the lore itself.
Florida police investigation (2005). The 2007–08 federal non-prosecution agreement under US Attorney Alex Acosta: a state plea, 13 months with work release, and immunity for four named co-conspirators and any 'potential co-conspirators,' concealed from victims. A 2020 DOJ OPR report found 'poor judgment,' no misconduct, and failure to obtain his computers. He was rearrested in 2019 and died in MCC New York on 10 Aug 2019 (ruled a suicide; guards falsified records; the 2023 DOJ IG report cited 'negligence, misconduct'). Maxwell was convicted in 2021 (20 years). A DOJ/FBI memo (7 Jul 2025) said there was no 'client list' and no credible blackmail evidence. The Epstein Files Transparency Act (19 Nov 2025) led to a redacted release on 19 Dec 2025 (files pulled, broken redactions) and 3M+ pages on 30 Jan 2026; the DOJ IG then opened a review of compliance.
A 19-ft granite monument in Elbert County, Georgia, commissioned in June 1979 by a man using the pseudonym 'Robert C. Christian' for 'a small group of loyal Americans'. It carried ten guidelines in eight languages for rebuilding after a feared catastrophe, including 'maintain humanity under 500,000,000'. The anonymous sponsor and the population line fueled theories of a New World Order/depopulation or Satanic monument. It was bombed by an unidentified vandal on 6 Jul 2022 and demolished by the county the same day; the remains went to the Elberton Granite Association.
On 2 Aug 1964 North Vietnamese torpedo boats attacked USS Maddox on a DESOTO signals-intelligence patrol, as covert OPLAN 34A raids hit the coast nearby. On 4 Aug, Maddox and Turner Joy reported a second attack at night in heavy seas. President Johnson ordered retaliatory strikes the same night, and Congress passed the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution on 7 Aug (House 416–0, Senate 88–2), authorizing escalation in Vietnam. The NSA's own historian (Hanyok, declassified 2005) concluded the 4 Aug attack did not occur and that NSA's reporting was skewed to support one: 15 of 122 intercepts used.
US diplomats and intelligence officers (Havana from late 2016, then worldwide) reported sudden pressure, sound, vertigo and lasting cognitive symptoms. The March 2023 ICA (7 agencies): foreign-adversary involvement 'very unlikely', with no credible evidence of a weapon (some agencies at low or moderate confidence). The House Intelligence Committee (2024 interim) called a foreign adversary increasingly likely. NIH (Mar 2024): severe symptoms but no MRI-detectable injury. Jan 2026: DHS-HSI covertly bought, for ~$15M (Pentagon-funded), a backpack-sized pulsed-RF device with Russian components from a Russian criminal network; the Pentagon has been testing it for over a year. Jun 2026: DNI Gabbard rescinded two Biden-era AHI assessments for faulty tradecraft; the FY26 NDAA mandates standard AHI reporting.
Senior Reagan officials secretly sold arms to Iran (under embargo) and diverted proceeds to the Nicaraguan Contras despite the Boland Amendment. Independent Counsel Lawrence Walsh charged 14 people. North was convicted in 1989 of obstruction, destroying documents and an illegal gratuity; the conviction was vacated on appeal over immunized-testimony taint. Poindexter's conviction was also reversed. Bush pardoned Weinberger and five others on Dec 24, 1992, before Weinberger's trial. Walsh's final report (1993/94) says officials 'destroyed and withheld' records and that the pardons completed a cover-up.
The Warren Commission (1964) found Oswald acted alone. The House Select Committee on Assassinations (1979) found Kennedy was 'probably assassinated as a result of a conspiracy,' based mainly on Dictabelt acoustics (a grassy-knoll shot), which a 1982 National Academy of Sciences panel rejected. The Church Committee (1975) found the CIA never told the Warren Commission about its Castro assassination plots, though commissioner Allen Dulles knew of them. The CIA's HSCA liaison, George Joannides, had run the anti-Castro DRE that dealt with Oswald in 1963 and didn't disclose it. After EO 14176 (Jan 2025), most records were released in March 2025, but the Joannides file (44 documents) remained withheld.
A USSOCOM training exercise (15 Jul–15 Sep 2015; ~1,200 personnel, mainly Army Green Berets, with SEALs and AFSOC) across TX, AZ, FL, LA, MS, NM and UT, run from Eglin AFB, practicing movement among civilian populations. Alex Jones and others framed it as a hostile takeover, FEMA camps or martial law. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott ordered the Texas State Guard to monitor it (28 Apr 2015); ex-CIA/NSA chief Michael Hayden said the theory 'got so much traction that the governor… had to' respond. Three men were arrested (Aug 2015) plotting to 'resist Jade Helm' with bombs. The exercise ended without incident. FBI analyst Clint Watts later said Russian disinformation amplified it (e.g., the Russian-run 'Heart of Texas' page).
Stephen Paddock fired from the 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay into the Route 91 Harvest festival for about 11 minutes, killing 58 (60 including later deaths) and injuring hundreds, then killed himself. The official timeline of when security guard Jesus Campos was shot changed repeatedly in the first two weeks, including a public dispute with MGM. ISIS claimed him as a 'soldier'; the FBI found no link. LVMPD's final report (2018) and the FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit (Jan 2019) found no single clear motive; the BAU cited a desire for suicide and infamy.
On March 12, 2013, DNI James Clapper told the Senate (answering Wyden) that the NSA did 'not wittingly' collect data on millions of Americans. In June 2013, Edward Snowden's leaks (the Guardian's Verizon Section 215 order, PRISM) showed bulk collection of Americans' phone records. In ACLU v. Clapper (2d Cir., May 2015), a court held that Section 215 didn't authorize the program; the USA Freedom Act (2015) ended bulk call-record collection. Snowden was charged under the Espionage Act and lives in Russia (Putin granted Russian citizenship on 26 Sep 2022; Reuters).
The US interagency Eizenstat Report (1997; 11 agencies, 15M+ pages reviewed, ~1M newly declassified) found that gold looted from occupied states and victims was smelted into bars and converted, mostly through the Swiss National Bank, into currency the Reich used to buy war materiel from neutral countries. Switzerland's own Bergier Commission (1998 gold report), working from Swiss National Bank and private-bank ledgers, estimated the SNB received $440M of Nazi gold. Eizenstat noted there's no evidence the SNB knew some of it came from Holocaust victims. It's one of the few cases where two governments' archives corroborate each other.
Claim: the Croatian Ustasha treasury was moved to Rome after the war, held at or through the Vatican, and used to fund the Draganović ratline (San Girolamo) that got Pavelić and others to South America. Supporting evidence: the Oct 21, 1946 Bigelow (Treasury) memo, reporting 200M Swiss francs 'held in the Vatican for safekeeping'; the 1998 State Dept follow-up chapter on the Ustasha treasury; Jareb's Croatian National Bank records (288 kg of gold removed on 7 May 1945); and CIC agent William Gowen's testimony that Draganović received up to 10 truckloads in 1946. Alperin v. Vatican Bank (filed 1999) was dismissed on political-question, sovereign-immunity and nexus grounds, so it was never tried on the merits. The Vatican's wartime bank records remain closed; the Vatican denies it.
When Tesla died (7 Jan 1943, Hotel New Yorker), the Office of Alien Property seized his papers and effects, despite his US citizenship since 1891, amid wartime concern over his claimed particle-beam 'death ray'. MIT's Dr. John G. Trump (Donald Trump's uncle) reviewed them over several days and reported they were 'primarily of a speculative, philosophical and promotional character' with 'no new sound, workable principles'. The FBI released ~250 pages (2011+) and a further 64-page tranche including a catalog of the seized papers (2018, via MuckRock). Most papers went to Tesla's nephew Sava Kosanović and are now at the Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade; theories persist that key papers were withheld.
The allegation investigated: that the Reagan campaign (William Casey) arranged with Iran to hold the 52 US hostages until after the 1980 election; they were released minutes after Reagan's inauguration. Senate special counsel (Nov 1992): probably no deal, but 'the totality of the evidence does suggest' Casey 'conducted informal, clandestine, and potentially dangerous efforts' (full text checked 2026-09-27; 'probably' and 'to monitor' were paraphrase). The House Task Force (Lee Hamilton) report, published 3 Jan 1993 in the Congressional Record: 'virtually no credible evidence'. Rep. Mervyn Dymally refused to sign and filed a dissent on the Madrid meeting ('just because phones ring and planes fly doesn't mean someone is there'), saying Hamilton warned he'd 'come down hard' on him.
Secret 'stay-behind' paramilitary networks (arms caches, recruits, escape lines) prepared by the UK and US with NATO and national services to resist a Soviet occupation. 'Gladio' is the Italian branch, often used for all. Italian PM Giulio Andreotti revealed it to the Chamber of Deputies on **24 Oct 1990**: 622 named civilians and 127 dismantled arms caches; he denied involvement in the 1960s–80s bombings. Neo-fascist Vincenzo Vinciguerra (1972 Peteano car bomb) had already exposed it at his 1984 trial. The European Parliament condemned it (Nov 1990); only Italy, Belgium and Switzerland held parliamentary inquiries; the Bush administration refused comment. A 2000 Italian parliamentary report (center-left group) said the US supported a 'strategy of tension' to keep the PCI from power. Scholars dispute Ganser's thesis that NATO/CIA ran Gladio as terrorism; FM 30-31B, central to that thesis, is widely considered a Soviet forgery.
Documented core: 'Project Mockingbird' was a CIA wiretap on syndicated columnists Robert Allen and Paul Scott (Mar 12–Jun 15, 1963), ordered by DCI McCone in coordination with AG Robert Kennedy, and listed in the 'Family Jewels' (compiled 1973, released 2007). The Church Committee (1976) documented CIA relationships with US and foreign journalists and media outlets. Carl Bernstein (Rolling Stone, 1977) reported 400+ journalists. 'Operation Mockingbird' as one broad program to control the US press comes largely from secondary accounts (e.g., Deborah Davis, 1979) — kept in its own note.
On March 13, 1962, a memo from the Joint Chiefs of Staff, signed by Chairman Lyman Lemnitzer, proposed staged pretexts to justify invading Cuba. The proposals included faked attacks at Guantanamo, a 'Remember the Maine' ship incident, a terror campaign in Miami and Washington, and staging the shootdown of a civilian airliner. McNamara received it; Kennedy rejected it on March 16, 1962, and moved Lemnitzer to Europe that fall. It stayed classified for 35 years until the JFK Assassination Records Review Board released it in 1997.
NIST's official account (NCSTAR 1, Oct 2005; FAQ): WTC 1 (hit 8:46, fell 10:28) and WTC 2 (hit 9:02, fell 9:58) collapsed because the impacts severed columns and stripped fireproofing, and multi-floor fires (up to ~1,000 °C) made floors sag and pull the perimeter columns inward until they buckled. The upper blocks then fell 'essentially in free fall'. 2,735 died at the towers. NIST says it did **not** test steel for explosive or thermite residue, arguing thermite burns too slowly and the evidence didn't call for it. WTC 7 (fell 5:20 pm, not hit by a plane): NIST (Nov 2008) found fire-induced thermal expansion failed column 79; after public challenge (Chandler), the final report acknowledged ~2.25 s of free-fall acceleration. The UAF/Hulsey study (2020, funded via AE911Truth) concluded fire did not cause WTC 7's collapse. The separate, documented handling layer: 'the 28 pages' on Saudi support for hijackers were classified until 15 Jul 2016, and the FBI's Operation Encore (Bayoumi) summary was declassified only in Sept 2021 under EO 14040.
A joint US–Israeli cyber-sabotage operation (NSA with IDF Unit 8200) begun under Bush and accelerated under Obama. It targeted Siemens PLCs running Iran's P-1 centrifuges at Natanz: it made them spin erratically while replaying normal telemetry, and about 1,000 centrifuges were destroyed. An early version was introduced in 2007 via water pumps installed by Dutch engineer Erik van Sabben, recruited by the AIVD at US request; he died in a motorcycle crash in Dubai on 16 Jan 2009 (Volkskrant, 2024). A 2010 coding error spread the worm worldwide; Belarusian firm VirusBlokAda found it in June/July 2010. David Sanger exposed Olympic Games in 2012. Gen. James Cartwright pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about leaking it and was pardoned by Obama (Jan 2017). Kaspersky (2015) linked its zero-days to the 'Equation Group' (NSA TAO); the Shadow Brokers dumped Equation tools (2016–17). The US has never officially acknowledged Stuxnet.
National Security Archive EBB No. 79 (Sajit Gandhi, 2002): 46 declassified documents and tapes. After Pakistan's military (Yahya Khan) annulled the Dec 1970 election won by Mujib's Awami League and launched the 25 Mar 1971 crackdown in East Pakistan (death estimates up to ~3M per Mujib; ~10M refugees to India), the Dacca consulate cabled 'Selective Genocide' (28 Mar). Consul General Archer Blood's dissent telegram (6 Apr) condemned US silence ('the overworked term genocide is applicable'). Nixon ordered 'Don't squeeze Yahya at this time' (28 Apr NSC paper). Yahya was the channel for Kissinger's secret China opening. Publicly the US called India the aggressor and sent USS *Enterprise* to the Bay of Bengal. Despite a formal arms cutoff, Nixon and Kissinger discussed third-party fighter transfers to Pakistan; an Iran embassy cable suggests F-5s held in California (slated for Libya) went via Iran. Kissinger assured India he wouldn't encourage China against it, then (10 Dec 1971) encouraged China's UN ambassador toward military moves; his memoir omits the aircraft transfers.
The US Public Health Service followed 600 Black men in Macon County, Alabama: 399 with syphilis and 201 controls. They were told they had 'bad blood' and weren't told their diagnosis. Penicillin, the standard cure by the mid-1940s, was withheld so the disease could be studied to autopsy. PHS investigator Peter Buxtun raised objections internally from 1966, then gave the story to AP's Jean Heller, published July 25, 1972. The study ended in 1972. A 1974 settlement followed, and Clinton formally apologized on May 16, 1997.
During the Six-Day War, Israeli aircraft and torpedo boats attacked the US signals-intelligence ship USS *Liberty* in international waters off Sinai: 34 Americans killed, 171–173 wounded. Israel called it mistaken identity and paid compensation. The US Navy Court of Inquiry (RADM Isaac Kidd, counsel Capt. Ward Boston) was given about a week and found mistaken identity. In a 2004 sworn declaration, Boston said Kidd told him LBJ and McNamara ordered that conclusion 'despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary'. The Moorer Commission (2003; ex-CJCS Adm. Thomas Moorer), entered into the Congressional Record 7 Oct 2004, found a deliberate attack after ~8 hours of surveillance and an 'official cover-up without precedent in American naval history'. NSA intercept tapes were partially released in 2003. The dispute over intent continues.
On June 17, 1972, operatives of Nixon's re-election committee were arrested in the DNC offices. They were paid with laundered campaign money, including the Ogarrio checks cashed through Mexico City. On the June 23, 1972 'smoking gun' tape, Nixon directs Haldeman to have the CIA tell the FBI to stop the investigation on 'national security' grounds. An 18½-minute gap sits on the June 20 tape. Nixon resigned on August 9, 1974. 69 people were charged, including two cabinet members; most pleaded guilty or were convicted.
WikiLeaks published the 'Collateral Murder' video (April 2010; a 2007 Baghdad Apache strike that killed civilians including two Reuters journalists), the Afghan and Iraq war logs, and the State Department cables, all leaked by Chelsea Manning. Manning was sentenced to 35 years; Obama commuted it (2017). Assange spent 7 years in the Ecuadorian embassy and 5 in Belmarsh, then pleaded guilty on 26 June 2024 to a single Espionage Act conspiracy count, was sentenced to time served (62 months), and returned to Australia.
Psychoanalyst Wilhelm Reich (*The Mass Psychology of Fascism*, *Character Analysis*; coined 'sexual revolution') later claimed a life energy, 'orgone', and built orgone accumulators (modified Faraday cages) he said helped cancer patients, plus 'cloudbusters' for weather. After critical 1947 articles (Brady, *New Republic* and *Harper's*), the FDA won an injunction (1954) against interstate shipment of accumulators and related literature as 'fraud of the first magnitude'. The findings are 'not established', not 'disproven'.
