Claims
Missing and dead scientists (2022–26) are a coordinated pattern
Unproven What these labels mean →About 11 people tied to sensitive research died or vanished 2022–2026. The FBI and House Oversight (Comer, Burlison) opened inquiries in April 2026. Case by case: several have ordinary, solved explanations; two or three remain genuinely unexplained. No official link has been found between any of them.

Case scorecard (the four E asked about, plus McCasland)
| Person | What happened | Explanation | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nuno Loureiro (MIT fusion) | Shot at home, 15 Dec 2025 | Killer identified: Claudio Neves-Valente, a Lisbon classmate who also did the Brown University shooting; fixation on Loureiro's success | Solved, personal motive |
| Carl Grillmair (Caltech/IPAC astronomer) | Shot, 16 Feb 2026, Llano CA | Carjacking; a 29-year-old charged | Suspect charged |
| Amy Eskridge (exotic propulsion, Huntsville) | Died 11 Jun 2022 | Ruled suicide. She had warned friends in advance that she "most definitely did not" if reported | Ruling contested |
| Monica Reza (JPL materials) | Vanished 22 Jun 2025, 30 ft from her companion | None; only a beanie found | Unexplained |
| Melissa Casias (Los Alamos, admin assistant) | Missing 26 Jun 2025; remains found 28 May 2026; gunshot to base of skull | Manner undetermined; wound called atypical; registered gun, owner not released | Undetermined |
| William McCasland (retired AFRL commander) | Vanished 27 Feb 2026 from home | Sheriff: "no evidence indicating foul play" | Unexplained |
The strongest version of the pattern
- The open cases are the interesting ones: Reza, McCasland, Eskridge. All three touch advanced propulsion or materials, or UAP-adjacent circles (McCasland: DeLonge's adviser; Eskridge: antigravity).
- Solved cases (Loureiro, Grillmair) should be removed from the list. Keeping them in makes the pattern look bigger than the evidence supports.
The Reza–McCasland thread
- Two people in the same Air Force materials-funding chain went missing about 8 months apart, with no trace of either. That's the most specific link in the whole list, and it's inferred, not documented. See Monica Reza.
The base-rate problem
- Mick West's estimate: more than 700,000 people hold cleared aerospace and nuclear jobs. Normal rates predict roughly 250 homicides and suicides among them over this period. 11 out of that pool isn't unusual by count.
- What a count can't rule out is a cluster by specialty: advanced propulsion or exotic materials plus UAP ties. The next test is whether the open cases cluster tighter than chance within that small subgroup.
Link to E's framework
- E's Dark Forest / "research being rerouted" idea (see earlier discussion) predicts cases concentrated in breakthrough-propulsion fields. Reza (rocket superalloys), Eskridge (antigravity) and McCasland (AFRL, DeLonge) fit. Loureiro and Grillmair fit only on paper, and their explanations are solved.
